Our Guide to how we personalise your jewellery

We can personalise your jewellery in all sorts of ways, each using prints or creations completely individual and personal to you and your loved ones. This guide describes the different personalisation we can do and how we do it!

Silver Fingerprint Charms, Pendants, Cufflinks, Beads or Rings

Our silver fingerprint items capture that unique fingerprint of a loved one for you to carry always. If you choose a silver fingerprint or gold fingerprint item we send out a small impression kit that is completely unique to us. Simple to use, you just mix two clays together and make your impression. The clays are specially designed to capture all the fine lines of a fingerprint from a day old baby to your grandad of 90 and that is why our fingerprint charms have the best defined detail on the market. If you muck it up then just squidge it back together and try again. You return your print once set in our reply paid envelope and we take it from there. If we don't think the print is clear or good or won't make the best jewellery then we'll just send you another kit with some extra tips completely free of charge.

Our silver footprint or handprint items capture those tiny feet or hands or not so tiny hands or feet! If you choose foot or handprint items we send out an inkless kit. Simple to use, you just use the wipe over the hand or foot and press onto some specially impregnated paper and hey presto your print appears. Clean, safe and simple and the kids love the magic of it. You can make as many prints on your sheets as you wish so it isn't just one go and we provide enough paper for each print. You return your prints in our reply paid envelope and we take it from there. We can remove smudges but we won't add in missing fingers or toes so if we don't think the print is clear or good enough we'll just send you another kit completely free of charge.

If you have existing prints that you'd like us to use then we just need a clear electronic image of the prints in jpeg form emailed through at the point of ordering or a clear black and white photocopy of it sent through to our PO Box Address but do tell us at checkout you are doing this. We will then contact you concerning your engraving requirements if we don't need to send out an inkless kit.

Our silver artwork items capture that creative masterpiece forever in silver while the original fades over time. If you choose artwork items we don't need to send out any kits. We just need a clear electronic image of the artwork in Jpeg form emailed through to us or a clear black and white photocopy of it sent through to our PO Box Address. The best artwork to transfer is clear, simple, one colour line drawings but we'll give anything a try!. If you want your child to draw something especially for your jewellery then we do recommend they draw with a black marker pen to give the best results for you.

We will contact you when you order giving instructions for supplying the artwork and collect your engraving requirements. If you order artwork items along with other items that we are sending kits for then we will cover the engraving requirements with your personalisation sheets sent with the kits and you can return the artwork along with the kits. Silver Sentiment Charms, Pendants or Cufflinks

Our silver sentiment items capture your own words in your own handwriting or the handwriting of a loved one. If you choose Sentiment items we don't need to send out any kits. We just need a clear electronic image of the writing in Jpeg form emailed through to us or a clear black and white photocopy of it sent through to our PO Box Address. For smaller charms a single word, such as a signature, works best. For longer phrases the tender or larger charms are best and can hold 2-3 short words ideally, such as 'I love you' or 'Worlds best mum' - what better way to get the sentiment across and in your own writing. If you don't like your writing or want a sentiment written in a special font then we can do that too, just tell us the sentiment and the font (must be a Microsoft Word font or a Microsoft Word compatible font must be supplied).

We will contact you when you order giving instructions for supplying the writing sample and collect any other engraving requirements. If you order sentiment items along with other items that we are sending kits for then we will cover the engraving requirements with your personalisation sheets sent with the kits and you can return the writing sample along with the kits. Our silver petprint charms or pendants capture that faithful friends paws or prints. If you choose pet print items we send out an inkless kit. Simple to use, you just use the wipe over the paw or pad and press onto some specially impregnated paper and hey presto your print appears. Clean, safe and simple to use. You can make as many prints on your sheets as you wish so it isn't just one go and we provide enough paper for each print. You return your prints in our reply paid envelope and we take it from there. We can remove smudges too, inevitable when you work with animals! If we don't think the print is clear or good enough we'll just send you another kit completely free of charge.

Personalising further with Engraving

We offer as standard 3 styles of engraving on the front of our items, two hand engraved in the silver by us and one imprinted into the silver. Most items can also be engraved on the back and in this case two styles of hand engraving are available. All engraving on both sides is included in the price you pay, we do not charge extra for engraving on both sides. Unlike some of our competitors with Tiny Treasures 'double-siding' doesn't mean you have to pay to have engraving on the back it is actually to have a further print, artwork or sentiment on the back - a more cost effective way than individual charms for everything. We do not recommend any engraving on the front with Sentiment items or Artwork items to avoid taking anything away from the artwork or the sentiment.

We can of course also 'copy by eye' your own writing or your child's onto the piece without charge. We are very good at this and you'd hardly be able to tell the difference and this is also included in the price.
